Infrared Control Module

Invacare Corporation is introducing a new Infrared (IR) Control Module for Invacare® MK6i™ electronics. This new control module will allow power wheelchair users to utilize their driver control to operate up to six remote control devices such as televisions, stereo and DVD players, lights and switches using standard X-10® technology, even operate a TASH® Infrared telephone.

Included with the IR Module is a Radio Frequency (RF) mouse emulator to allow full control of all PC mouse functions for complete computer access. The mouse control will be compatible for users with either four-quadrant (joystick) or three-quadrant (head control) systems.   

Simplicity is a key trait of the MK6i remote hand held programmer. That is all that is needed to set up and program the IR and mouse features. No computer is necessary.

IR Features:
Program up to six IR remote options to control
Available IR remote options to choose from includes:
TV Enhanced (Most remote control TV buttons - including 3 favorite channels and number keypad )
TV Basic (Only 5 button selections)
DVD/VCR
CBL/SAT (Cable / Satelite TV)
AUD (Stereo)
X-10* (up to 8 devices using Infrared / X-10 transmitter)
Telephone** (Tash infrared phone software already installed)
MK6i software version 1.8.0 is required (available from the Technical Zone)
Compatible with three-quadrant (head control) or four-quadrant (joystick) systems
Use individual device codes or simple learning to teach IR commands to the module
Compatible with MK6i expandable control systems (MK6i display, MPJ+, PSR+, PSF+ joysticks)
   
 
 
Mouse Control Features:
Wireless mouse emulation is included with the IR module
A dongle plugs into the USB port of the computer to communicate with the IR module
Allows the driver control to operate mouse movement on the screen
When combined with an on-screen keyboard, user has access to virtually all standard software programs
Mouse click is performed with switches (not included) or freeware dwell software
Three-quadrant (head control) and four-quadrant (joystick) control supported
The Infrared (IR) control module is an option in the configurator and on the price list. It is available on a broad range of Invacare power wheelchairs including the TDX® SP, TDX SI, TDX SC, TDX Spree, Storm Series, Ranger X™, Storm Series Torque™ SP, and Power Tiger™.
